ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices

If you are an employer, please read the following carefully

In 2005, ACC introduced Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP), for employers. This programme aims to reduce workplace accidents, by offering employers premium discounts for good safety management systems.

If an employer wishes to participate in the scheme, they must complete a self-assessment of their workplace, and then undergo a workplace audit, which is completed by an independent health and safety auditor. Depending on the results of the auditors assessment, employers may qualify for a discount of between 10% and 20%.

The audit is fully funded by ACC. Therefore at no cost to the employer, they have the opportunity to save on ACC premiums.

We are recommending the WSMP programme to all employers with more than 10 employees, or those with fewer employees, who because of a high risk industry are paying high ACC premiums, and could therefore achieve significant savings.

Over the last twelve months, we have seen several of our clients successfully complete this programme and gain significant discounts. We believe that you too can achieve such benefits.
